Q: Favorite activity/hobby:
A: International travel and spending time with my wife Katharina, our 6 month old daughter Emmy, and our 4 dogs.
Q: What is the best part of your job?
A: Overall, my favorite part of the job has been creating an individualized graduation plan for each student-athlete I meet with. The students always enjoy sitting down and planning out the internship or career component, how summers or a fifth year of eligibility affect their education opportunities and how to utilize internships, minors, certificates, or graduate school to help create the total person upon graduation.
Q: Where is your favorite place on campus?
A: Bobby Dodd Stadium – Night Game Under the Lights
Q: Unique/exciting thing you bring to Georgia Tech?
A: As a former football student-athlete, working in athletics has always been my passion. I feel I have the ability to connect and relate to our student-athlete in those regards. As I am also working through a PhD program, I am able to utilize my degree towards my current role by doing research on student-athlete development and preparing for life after school.
Q: Anything else that you would like for the GTAAN community to know about you and/or your role at Tech?
A: If anyone is interested more in what we do in Georgia Tech Student-Athlete Support Services please do not hesitate to reach out. We have many programs for faculty or staff involvement and are always looking to collaborate with new faces.
Thanks so much for letting us feature you this month, Brandon!
