History of GTAAN
- 2002 GTAAN was created by a group of advisors getting together once a month during lunch to discuss relevant topics.
- 2003 GTAAN became an official organization, by-laws were developed, and the first elections were held.
- 2004 GTAAN hosted its first Best Practices event.
- 2005 GTAAN hosted its second Best Practices event.
- 2006 GTAAN hosted its third Best Practices event and opened participation up to surrounding colleges and universities.
- 2007 GTAAN completed a major revision of bylaws, including limitation of executive terms to one year.
- 2008 GTAAN hosted its fourth Best Practices event
- 2009 GTAAN hosted its fifth Best Practices event
- 2010 GTAAN hosted NACADA Regional Conference
- 2011 GTAAN hosted its sixth Best Practices event
- 2013 GTAAN hosted its seventh Best Practices event
- 2014 GTAAN hosted its first Summer Symposium event
- 2015 GTAAN hosted its eighth Best Practices event
- 2017 GTAAN hosted its ninth Best Practices Conference
- 2019 GTAAN hosted its tenth Best Practices Conference
- 2021 GTAAN hosts its first ever virtual Best Practices Conference
- 2022 GTAAN Best Practices Conference is canceled
