Erato, the GT Literary Magazine

Atlanta (September 16, 2009) —
The editor of Erato is looking to expand the scope of the journal, and include the entire GT community in the call for submissions and in participating in Erato-related activities, such as the first Coffee House on 9/29.

This year we're trying to reach out more -- we have always welcomed submissions from graduate and undergraduate students, professors, faculty, advisors (and any other member of the GA Tech community), so we're actively attempting to make this known. We publish all creative writing and visual arts--from poetry to plays to any artwork. The staff is responsible for reviewing and rating all submissions, as well as plan for Journal events. Any member of the Tech community is welcomed to join the staff. Erato always welcomes new staff members, regardless of experience.

To be updated on upcoming meetings and events (or submit your creative pieces), shoot us a line through our website (http://cyberbuzz.gatech.edu/eratopub/) and ask to join our mailing list! We currently publish one magazine each year. Throughout the year, we sponsor open-mic coffeehouses and art galleries, creative writing sessions, and workshops--all so we can share our writings and artwork with others.

Our first coffeehouse and art gallery will take place on Tuesday, September 29th from 7-9pm in the Library East Commons. Easels will be provided for artwork to be displayed in the first hour from 7-8pm, with an open mic to follow. Some refreshments will be provided! Thanks, Amaris Gutierrez-Ray Editor, Erato magazine amaris@gatech.edu
