Spring 2024 GTAAN & GTAAN Connections Dates 

  • GTAAN January Meeting: Jan. 18 from 11am-12pm. In-person location: Ford ES&T L1118 and Virtually via Zoom.
    • This meeting will tentatively feature Dr. Paul Kohn talking about updates to Computer Science and change of major policies.
  • GTAAN Connections January Meeting: Jan. 30 from 12-1pm. Location: Clough Lounge #211.
    • This meeting will feature how to incorporate academic coaching and exploratory advising for your students.
  • GTAAN February Meeting: Feb. 22 from 11am-12pm. In-person location: Clough Lounge #211 and Virtually via Zoom.
    • This meeting will feature the new Global Engagement Certificate, and International Opportunities at Tech.
  • GTAAN Connections March Meeting: Mar. 5 from 12-1pm. Location: Clough Lounge #211.
    • This meeting will be about departmental scheduling. Our goal is to connect advisors who schedule classes each semester in order to learn more about the pain points and opportunities to streamline processes.
  • GTAAN March Meeting: Mar. 14 from 11am-12pm. In-person location: Clough Lounge #211 and Virtually via Zoom.
    • This meeting will feature Ansley Sharp and Crystal Elster from the Registrar. Please let us know what questions you have.
  • GTAAN April Meeting: Apr. 11 from 11am-12pm. In-person location: Clough Lounge #211 and Virtually via Zoom.
    • Assistant Directors in Office of Financial Aid, Brandon Bray & Elena Panchana will be joining us to share updates on Hope/Zell and FAFSA. They will also cover FAQs from students and overall updates with the department
    • Senior Assistant Director in Admissions & Senior Assistant Registrar for Academic Services, Chad Bryan and Crystal Elster will also join us to share about the transfer student population, how/when they are admitted, the communication timeline, and how advisors can best work with this population to create success. ​
      • Chad and Crystal also want to hear from advisors on how they work with transfer students in their department in preparation for FASET and their first semester at Tech.
